Had some ideas for shots on my way home from night shifts last week but ended up running late for ferries and other commitments so i didn’t get a chance to shoot any of them. Still it involved the DSLR so i was taking that into work last week.
Whilst i didn’t get any shots i had intended i did shoot a bit on the way in and the way home, i wasn’t shooting anything specific just looking for colour and vibrancy.
Loved this little scooter, seemed to fit into the wall so well, just wish it wasnt an overcast day so i could get a bit more out of the light. At least its nice a diffused so the reflections look decent.
My lovely Lanie, and flatmate Meltan! At my old work Bluewater Cafe in Manly. Was on the way home from work (smh) and stopped in for a beer after they had closed up shop. I know i know the white balance is crazy but its intentional, i like the warm colours, it fits the emotional context of the shot for me.
The Manly Ferry wharf is undergoing some construction and as the ferry pulled in i noticed the lights and loved the green. The shots empty and meaningless really but i liked the colours.
Just a random shot on the way into work. Want to shoot this again when im not running late and with a nice blue sky, think it could turn out quite interesting.
Waiting for pay day so i can take a few rolls to the lab. Got some Neopan and APX100 to get dev’ed. Had a bunch of problems with my latest negs i developed, wierd streaks and what looks like some sort of chemical fogging on two or three rolls which i was pretty pissed off about because it’s rendered the fuckers nearly useless. Not to mention i dropped one of the rolls on the floor when i was hanging it. That was great picking off hairs from the soft and very delicate emulsion.
Sigh.
Had a nice weekend though, i actually left the camera at home for most of it and spent time just enjoying others company without feeling the urge to take photos (it felt odd but it was good for a change).That said i did have a beer with Lanie and Chrisso after they finished work on saturday arvo and missedsome pretty unreal light. Not to worry!
